May is National Speech-Language-Hearing Month
May is a time to celebrate connection, communication, and the voices that make each child unique. In honor of Speech-Language-Hearing Month, we’re proud to highlight the meaningful progress our clients make every day—one word, one sound, and one breakthrough at a time.
This month, we’re also excited to launch our Language Essentials Video Contest! We invite our families to share what Language Essentials has meant to them and how therapy has made a difference in their journey. As summer approaches, we look forward to continued growth, fun, and connection both in and beyond the therapy room. ☀️

🎬✨ Lights, Camera… FAIR TIME! ✨🎡
We’re so excited to announce our Language Essentials Video Contest happening all May long! Clients are invited to create a fun, creative 15–60 second video sharing “Why We Love Language Essentials!” Post it publicly on social media, tag us, and send us the link and video—and you’re officially entered!
The most creative entry will win 4 General Admission tickets (plus parking!) to the Alameda County Fair—just in time for summer fun, the fair runs from June 19th–July 12th!
Brainstorm, gather your ideas, and get ready to hit record! We can’t wait to see your creativity shine—this is going to be so much fun!

Language Essentials Summer Camp is Back!
We’re excited to announce our Ocean-Themed Summer Camp at Language Essentials! A safe and interactive camp built around craft, creativity and social interaction and play. Children build confidence, connection, and social language skills in a fun, supportive group setting. For kids with speech delays or Autism Spectrum Disorder, it’s a powerful way to turn progress into everyday success.
📅 Dates: July 13–17, 2026
🕘 Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
👧 Ages: 5–8
💲 Cost: $275 per camper
Each day will include a mix of creative activities, sensory play, and games that promote social connection—in a supportive, play-based setting.
🍎 Additional Details:
Mid-morning snack provided
Please bring a packed lunch (lunch time at 12:30 PM)
Children must be able to independently use restroom facilities once escorted
